Mine was Paul McCartney in the 1960s.

Dirk Bogarde, before being gay was a 'thing'. And Frank Ifield.

Con Cluskey from the Bachelors

Richard Chamberlain when I was little.
When I was early teens: Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Scott Walker, Steve Marriott, Paul Jones (Manfred Mann), Brian Jones (Stones).

Cesar Romero as the Cisco Kid.

Richard Chamberlain! In the days before video I used to tape record Dr Kildare and listen to it again - and again - and again!!

Most of the above, although definitely NOT Sean Connery (too hairy). But Yes to David McCullum, Marc Bolan and Scott Walker.

Captain Scarlet .

Without question, Sean Connery. He was so handsome in those early James Bond films. My school rough book, which we were allowed to cover, had many pictures of him plastered all over

Dirk Bogarde

My one and only was Scott Walker (Engel). Gorgeous man!

It was Elvis of course! My friend and I had a dolls' tea party on his birthday. Soon followed by Paul McCartney and Sean Flynn (son of Errol) whose movie 'Son of Captain Blood' I must have seen three or four times at the cinema (see picture).

Elvis, when I was about 10 or 11 and then Paul McCartney.

Marc Bolan for me too. I had pictures all over my bedroom walls !

Oh goodness, I can’t remember the very first! I do remember having a crush however on Ross from the original Poldark, and these days I still quite like Tom Sellack ?

Amagran Wed 23-Oct-19 23:23:18

Cliff Richard. I never bought records or had photos or any of the other fan stuff. I just drooled quietly and secretly.

Mr Darcy (yes, long before Colin Firth came on the scene)

Merelina Wed 23-Oct-19 23:12:20

Oh yes BlueBelle - all of those too.

Merelina Wed 23-Oct-19 23:08:42

Laurence Olivier. Heathcliff, Richard III to name but two.

BlueBelle Wed 23-Oct-19 23:02:23

Dirk Bogarde well I didn’t know what gay was then, after him came Adam Faith, Elvis and a calypso singer called Cy Grant

whywhywhy Wed 23-Oct-19 22:51:00

Steve Marriott of the Small Faces. I was in their fan club and saw them at Newcastle City Hall back in the 60s.

Smileless2012 Wed 23-Oct-19 22:10:08

David Cassidy and it wasn't a crush, I was in looooove. What is it with all these questions?confused.

M0nica Wed 23-Oct-19 22:09:16

Adam Faith, although celeb crush is probably overdoing it. I never had a photo of him nor did I buy any of his records but I liked his voice when I heard it and I have always had a soft spot for blonde males.

Luckygirl Wed 23-Oct-19 22:03:15

Ilya Kurayakin from The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

DoraMarr grin

Cliff Richard for me only he wasn't called a celebrity in those days, he was a heart throb. I also had the hots for Robert Horton of Wagon Train fame and (also Wagon Train) Rowdy Yates who, I believe, was played by Clint Eastwood.

merlotgran Wed 23-Oct-19 21:47:35

Robert Horton as Flint McCullough in Wagon Train.
