My first date was with a gorgeous boy at the youth club. I was 14, and he came round to ask my Mum if he could take me on the youth club coach outing to the ice rink, and Mum said yes.
We were both so shy that we said nothing for the whole evening, despite falling over on top of each other on the ice several times. The innocence and naivety of being 14 back in the 60s.
When I told Mum I didn't know what to say to him, she suggested some conversation starters to scribble down and keep in my purse that I could discreetly glance at as a prompt! Good thinking Mum. (I haven't stopped talking since though
)
Ethical question - how do you feel about second chance??
