is it really a treat to eat out at the moment.
you are dependent on the operators to do everything correctly, like wiping tables. you can't be sure they are doing it all properly every time. i would not put myself in that position.
masks should not be put in pockets or on tables, chairs.
they should be stowed in a clean zip-loc bag. zipped.

Alexa as you trained in infection control can I ask if wearing two masks would really help guard you against others not wearing a mask or did you wear two just because you felt it was the only thing you could try to help protect yourself?

silentgames can I ask where you put your mask and if you then felt ut was okay to put the same one back in afterwards? I only ask because sometimes when putting my own away it can get awkward handling and getting caught or contaminating other things. I thought they disinfected tables and seats in between diners

ToadintheHole, I think you, are right. My son and I do meet indoors about twice week for three hours when he comes to help me. I find we become a little careless, for instance if he shows me photos on hiss mobile phone.
I may be mistaken, but I think exposure to covid virus relates partly to the duration of the exposure to any carrier.

Also older son stopped going back to gym as he noticed not everyone (all mostly older than he) was wiping/sanitizing equipment before/after use and staff were using same paper towel roll to wipe down all the equipment instead of new piece for each then discarding it.

My son is total opposite- but hes got OCD so i expected nothing less.we do live in same house but still he dons his mask, latex gloves then his other adidas gloves on top! Opens window too a bit and often hes not even getting out of car as he waits for me at hosp appt for example! My other son 17 wore 2 masks together at college and wore normal gloves to use computers, just in case.Rest of time washed/ sanitised his hands.etc.but still picked up a flu bug or something which made him very poorly after only attending 3days! (Wasn't covid though as got a test) so some do understand the rules.As do most of their peers in uni/college Not all the younger ones are to blame for spreading it.

I think you are right OP. I have missed going to my dance class this year. Someone told me it would be safe enough because there would be hand sanitiser available for everyone. I was more worried about being in a confined room with a dozen other middle aged ladies, all breathing heavily!

He’s probably just thinking you’re his mum, it’s ok, you’re not strangers, like in a taxi for example. I’ve probably let myself slip like that without realising. It’s easy when it’s strangers. Perhaps you should ‘dress’ him in his mask, like you would have done when he was small?

Re yours DS Covid hygiene is not exactly difficult!!

My son will be driving me to the dentist for an extraction in December, and I will expect him to wear a mask and be happy for me to sit in the back, wearing my own mask, and with all the windows open.

We did eat out yesterday for a treat with all the social distancing in place and not allowing you to go to to the bar. What shocked me was the amount of people who think it’s okay to put their face masks on their table! I did request the tables should be disinfected or better still tell them to put them in their pocket. Not sure we will visit again but it may be everywhere

I wouldn’t exactly say it was a novel experience currently as it’s been going on since March!
