I’ve often thought how odd it is that sex is rarely mentioned on this site. People might want / need to share their worries / queries / discoveries with others without the slightly Bictorian attitude of ‘too much information’

Perhaps they don’t share personal information because they know that the Daily Mail & similar publications are ready to pounce and make a story of it. Despite pseudonyms, people can sometimes be identified.

One reason sex is rarely discussed on gransnet is that 'how to have orgasms ' does not concern older people so very much. Many partner relationships are companionate not sexual.

I do love the use of the adjective Victorian in this context. We are told that Victoria herself was awfully fond of matters bedroomy, and most families had many more children than today's average household. But then they didn't have tv to occupy their evenings.

I admire those putting their head above this particular parapet, but wonder at those who find the entire concept distasteful. Other people's bedrooms are their business, but admitting to solo joy is hardly blasphemous. And ignoring a thread that has the vexed three-letter word in the title might seem sensible if you are likely to be offended.
