I have to agree, Luckygirl13 has encapsulated it perfectly.

What a lovely response from Luckygirl13!

I can't added anything constructive to it.
She really has said it all.

Just be kind to yourself.

It is challenging when roles change as each of a couple age at disparate rates.

The biggest tip I can give you is not to fight it - acceptance does not mean giving in. It means being realistic so you are not banging your head against a brick wall all the time and feeling frustrated.

Keep some time and space for yourself. You cannot be constantly vigilant - you need to breathe out and relax sometimes.

Life waxes and wanes - it changes over time - we have to cultivate acceptance and hang on to those joys that do remain. There is no other way.

Sending a handhold.

Realised today that I derived some of my enjoyment of visiting new places or holidaying came from feeling safer with my husband. He's lost some judgement/memory so now I have to step up, consider risks etc as he will not really be doing that. I guess many of us are doing the same - tips for coping welcome.
