DH and I went to Specsavers for hearing tests and it was no surprise that we both had hearing loss. I suspect many GNs do too as the NHS provides free hearing aids for anyone over 50 who needs it so assume that most of us have hearing loss after that age.
DH doesn't wear his much!
I found that I needed to turn the radio up much less in the car than previously, it is numbered so that made it very obvious. I also found that I could hear all the voices on the radio and not just those who had strong tones.
The downside is that my glasses seem to push the right one off all the time! Maybe this is because I don't have a jaw joint on that side so there is more pressure. Apart from that I am very happy that Gn prompted me to go.
