A schedule? Surely one of the advantages of growing older/retirement is that you don't have to stick to one!
Nowadays, there's only me...so it isn't a problem. I have enough in the way of sheets, towels, clothes etc. to fit laundry in with my life, not the other way round. I don't possess a tumble dryer. I keep an eye on the local weather forecast and put a wash on when it means I can hang it outside to dry. I live on the coast, so there is the odd incontinent inconsiderate seagull to contend with. But I do love the smell of air dried bedding and towels. I've always used non bio, ever since the children were small (they're in their 40s now). Then I used powder, now the gel capsules. I tried washing everything at 40 degrees for a while, but went back to 60 degrees for towels and bedding. My guilty secret? I love ironing, especially when there's something good on the radio
