Fairy Non Bio would like to hear about the laundry schedule you have in your household. Are you very particular about washing your clothes and have a load for every colour imaginable, or do you just go for lights and darks? Maybe you have assigned days for certain washes - is Sunday sheets day and Tuesday for towels? Has your laundry schedule changed a lot as you’ve got older?

Here’s what Fairy Non Bio have to say: “Fairy Non Bio is good for anyone who wants a softer, more sensitive wash (that still leaves clothes clean!). Its gentle formula promises to be kind to both your clothes and your skin, and so it’s suitable for everyone”

So, whatever your household washing schedule, post it below for a chance to win a £300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Most washes are done at 60 degrees not less. First time washed items are hand washed as are delicates and bras. Light colours washed separately. Duration depends on who is staying eg everyday if school kids here.

Who is your 'free on a Saturday' energy provider

merlin Fri 27-Jan-17 10:26:24

I do the washing when it needs doing. No particular schedule. I used to do the wash overnight on economy 7 but now I have solar panels I wait until there is plenty of light before starting.
Anything special goes in a separate wash but almost every thing just goes in the same load.

brownhandbag Fri 27-Jan-17 10:25:28

no routine, darks and lights done when there is a machine load. Simple

liamell Fri 27-Jan-17 10:24:47

We only ude fairy and fairy conditioner as my son has eczema and this is the only thing that doesnt hurt his delicate skin.

Beds on mondays.
And then a constant wash every day throughout the week. Occasionally I get a saturday off smile

I tend to just wash as I go, although I always make sure that I have plenty of clean towels and bedding after several stomach bug incidents with children/grandchildren over the years which have left me slightly scarred!

liz1970 Fri 27-Jan-17 10:14:34

I separate my lights and darks, wash lights on a 60 and darks on a 40. I wash tea towels and towels together. I wash woollens on wool wash smile

I have no really set routine and am totally flexible on washing - The only time factor that I do take into account is the weather - If it is raining for example and they forecast a dry day the next day then I will leave it a day so I can hang the washing out to dry.

justgina Fri 27-Jan-17 10:10:21

It's not really much of a schedule! I just do at least one load a day.....sorting lights and darks, pre treating any bad stains and wash most loads on 30 degrees.

hellywellyt Fri 27-Jan-17 10:09:58

I wash a lights and darks during the week and again at the weekend, the beds get changed once a month and the towels when they have been used twice

ayjay Fri 27-Jan-17 10:09:43

Always wash the bedding every week - and I have found my "routine" all to pot since I got my new washer - which has a larger drum as my household has decreased. So find I now do a "mixed" wash with colour catchers otherwise I would wait too long to amass enough whites, colours etc to give each a full load (very environmentally conscious - but then using "unnecessary" product - will be more careful buying a machine next time!)

WE also have a free electricity deal on Sundays with our supplier so I wash dry and iron on that day.

rosie154 Fri 27-Jan-17 10:05:23

I do the laundry as needed, no schedule. Always do whites separately. Use a liquid detergent and low temperature, air dry.

I have a secret, I rarely do the laundry, that's Mr M domain. However I do know the routine, pillows, sheets, duvet cover and bath towels on a Saturday, handwash white underwear Saturday morning, drip dry outside, dark undies on a Sunday. Flannels, towels and tea towels in a separate wash, work dresses are all separate on a wool cycle, his work clothes twice a week on a dark wash along with casual rambling trousers. Cleaning cloths on their own same with dogs beds. All small loads, and washing several times a week, non bio for every wash except white sheets.

lornajk Fri 27-Jan-17 10:00:12

I wash about 4 times a week I guess, a towel wash, a bedding wash, and then dark and light clothes is about average. Only ever wash at 40 degrees. Have used Fairy since my son was little due to his sensitive skin, and have never had any problems at all. The only washing problems for me are missing socks! I currently have three odd ones that don't match up with any others, but it can be more than that at times. Definitely one of life's mysteries :-)

As my 2 grown up sons are still at home, I need a routine, and my 25 year old still has sensitive skin, I use fairy non bio for his bed linen and shirts which I wash every fortnight, I have used fairy since my son was a baby, I love the smell and confidence I have that his eczema will not flare up. For the rest of my family I sometimes use my fairy non bio, or buy what ever is on offer at the suspermarket, I wash every other day, and more in summer when I can get bedding and towels on the line. I use my quick wash cycle for towels and other bedding, and for underwear a 60 degree wash which I tend to tumble dry. For my sons white cotton shirts I wash at the end of the week on a cotton wash, put them on hangers and often this way they don't always need ironing.

sophie56 Fri 27-Jan-17 09:46:31

I generally do laundry twice a week. As I am lucky enough to have solar panels I try to do it when the sun is shining so I follow the local weather forecast avidly. I always save up tea towels to wash on their own. I rarely iron and cheat by using bedspreads over my duvets. I buy whatever washing liquid is on offer and don't bother with conditioners.

hiddenmichelle Fri 27-Jan-17 09:34:03

No particular routine - just when it needs doing or when I want something in particular that needs washing - have a very handy 15 minute cycle if not that dirty too which is very handy!

alsproject Fri 27-Jan-17 08:56:07

We do a load almost every day as we have a small machine

samcornfield Fri 27-Jan-17 08:54:24

We wash clothes every evening. The washing machine probably does 20 loads per week. We do wash whites separately but everything else goes in together. My motto is also if it will fit through the door of the machine then it is washable! I haven't ruined anything yet.

falconer Fri 27-Jan-17 08:44:50

Everything in two loads at the weekend. Thank Goodness the kids have gone!

lizd31 Fri 27-Jan-17 08:29:18

I don't have any particular day for washing clothes usually twice a week & I wash my bedding in 2 separate loads, as I have bedspreads, I always do this on a Tuesday when my cleaner comes to strip the bed. I'm disabled so can't manage it myself

BeHappy Fri 27-Jan-17 08:27:39

Washes are done around 4-5 times a week and seperate into darks & lights at about 30 degrees smile

createbeauty Fri 27-Jan-17 08:15:00

I usually wash a load every morning if there is a full loads worth in the laundry basket. I wash lights and darks seperately and wash the dog's towels in a load of their own to prevent dog hairs and bleeding colours. Bedding gets washed once we've stripped the bed.
