We have only have a small area that is currently covered in paving slabs and full to the brim with weeds. I want to rip up the paving slabs and de-weed everywhere then relay the slabs in a different place and put some artificial grass down to make it a bit more 'gardeney'. We don't have lots of room but would love to also put a small table and chairs in so we can sit out in the warmer evenings.

My garden goals for this summer are to;

Repaint my little lean-to and garden dresser (made by DH) in bright snazzy colours. Bring my lawn up to bowling green standard (after getting rid of the moss, I'm finding it hard to get new seed to germinate). Put some fairy light in my tree. Encourage the climbers to spread along my back fence to give us more privacy.

I love the Olive Trees available in Homebase and I have the perfect place in mind. Sadly at £80 they are a bit out of my budget, but with a £300 voucher....

I would also like to have some time to enjoy it all.

I'm trying to get the slug population down, as I have more slugs than anyone I know. Nothing has worked, so I have recently tried Nemotodes. It's early days but there do seem to be fewer of them.

To keep it clear and record the colours and dates. Most importantly though to try and get the Bamboo under control as it's spreading quickly and very unwanted.

I really want to try and grow my own herbs in garden this summer and then challenge myself to use them in new recipes

My goals this summer are a nice area for my granddaughter to play in and also to build on the salad i grow in my veg patch as it saves us plenty of money, I'd like to start trying to grow tomatoes

Having removed 2 large decayed trees I am now revamping the garden with a new patio surrounded by colourful plants. In place of the moss lawn a labour free display of stone and pebbles of various sizes. In the front where 2 conifers have gone bushes to attract small birds and insects. All to be done at intervals when I have spare time but the base of the patio is now down so we can sit when the sun comes.

I have a small patio from which I wish to create a garden; a proper garden with ornamental trees, topiary, flowers for bees and butterflies and somewhere for the cats and I to sit.
Very big plans for a very small space - and no spare funds to do it. Somehow, though, I will.

I am trying to rustle up the muscles to take up approx. 200 flag stones over 3 tiers and 2 steps that make up a large patio area. Would love to replace with stones so no power washing required and hopefully less weeding.

We have a long garden with two lawns seperated by a trellis with an arch, which we have clematises growing over in summer. We have borders around the lawns which I always plant up to look colourful for summer and also fill several pots for the patio/slabs. We have a small table and chairs on the patio and a bench at the bottom as well as a small fountain. On the other side of our fence at the bottom is a canal and there is a beautiful willow tree (not in our garden) which adds to the view when we look out. This all sounds very grand but it isn't really - we just do our best - we are in the inner city but not overlooked. This year I plan to get a bird bath ad maybe another seat for the bottom of the garden.

I've only just started gardening and last year I got a nice wee veg crop. My husband dug the beds for me. I did have a wee greenhouse but it blew away in the gales!

Flowers ....we live near the coast and it has taken me a while to find which plants can survive the salt winds. I want to have a vibrant flower bed that has continual colour. I also need to continue the battle against ivy...when we moved in two years ago you couldn't see the fences for the five foot ivy. Hate the stuff but I will win!

My friend is helping me create an easy to manage garden. Smaller steps and planters rather than a big area to weed. Also growing some strawberrys and possibly lettace if I can manage.

At the moment my garden has returned back to nature with the grass 10 inches high and weeds all over the place plus the hedge is reaching to the sky. I intend to tame it all this summer.

We need a proper overhaul

We'll finally be getting rid of all the weeds and brush that has accumulated over the past 10 years and putting in some turf. Should be great!

We plan to take an area of our garden and convert it into a wildflower bed. Have already started transplanting some bluebells that were in the front of the house and will be adding lots of seed soon! xx

Both disabled,and in our golden years,We have a small enclosed garden.with decking, laid by our Son-in Law,over the spring we are going to lay artificial grass,with a small bark edge,creating a low maintenance garden

I am really interested in having a successful wildlife area in the garden. My goal in previous years was to have the whole garden dedicated to wildlife, it just had too many problems with this choice, although I would never use chemicals in my garden. I have had to give a dedicated area at the back of the garden which is solely for wildlife benefit. Having tried it all around the garden, I found the bird seed when dropped was letting grass grow everywhere, the larger birds were pinching the smaller birds food, the squirrels were taking everything, my dogs were urinating and damaging some habitats I had set up. So my goal this year is too make the area dedicated to the birds, bees, hopefully hedgehogs and frogs successful for them. I have been reading the attached above that's already a great help. On a night many bats fly over the garden, lots of them, not sure where they spend their days, I would like if possible to make sure I am doing all I can for them to benefit from my garden.

I am very lucky to have quite a large garden with some very unusual plants. For the last 4 years people have said I should open the garden as part of the Red Cross Open Garden scheme but I've never had the guts to do this. So my goal is to go for it! It will hopefully give pleasure to other people who perhaps aren't lucky enough to have a garden and it will raise money for a good cause too.

Just enjoy it and never mind the dandelions!
I'd like to get a set of garden furniture so we can enjoy whatever sunshine we get this summer, with some birdfeeders for feathered guests.

I'm having my patio redone - removing the hideous uneven slabs of concrete I've been living with since I moved here, and having smooth, creamy crazy-paving like you see round swimming pools in Spain. New fencing, with trellis tops so the honeysuckle and jasmine can give me privacy in the summer.
I was going to be growing my tomatoes in pots this year, but as he hasn't even started yet I think I'll probably end up not growing any at all. So this summer is on hold, but next year... it's going to be glorious!

Mine is small but slopes. I can no longer balance to peg out washing. It needs ch angling to 2 or 3 distinct levels.

We are planning on getting rid of the grass area we have and replace it with a patio. We only moved into then house recently and there is a drainage issue on the current lawn. Within a week of mooving in because we have a dog the grass area had turned to a mud area.We are also ripping out a shrubbed area and having it all replaced with slabs and stones, so hopefully no more muddy dog paws.We love entertaining family so we are planning on having lots of family BBQ's and we have a hot tub so also hoping to have a few hot tub nights with friends. Roll on summer 2017.
