Cruises can be a great way to see the world and visit multiple places in one holiday! Holland America Line would love you to share what your dream cruise destination would be and why you would choose that place.

Here’s what Orlando Ashford President of Holland America Line has to say: “A Holland America Line cruise does so much more than merely take people from one place to the next. It enriches and enlightens us as we discover new places, cultures and people. It brings the world closer together, journey by journey”

Perhaps you have a city halfway across the world that you would love to visit? Maybe you would like to visit a country you’ve never been to before but is a little closer to home? Or do you dream of taking a trip to a small island somewhere?

Whatever your ideal cruise destination share it on the thread below, along with reason why and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one GNer will win a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

I would absolutely love to go on a cruise to the Galápagos Islands because it would be such a privilege. The wildlife opportunities would be amazing and hopefully I would get some great photos too.

I can think of no better way than a cruise to see some of the all time great European cities. Rome, Athens, Dubrovnik, Barcelona, a new surprise every morning. Perfect.

I would love to do a big Scandinavia cruise, however I am a little concerned about reading of cruise ships depositing vast amounts of tourists onto areas that cannot cope with them (i.e. Venice) so i would really be interested in a cruise that was logistically responsible on places it visited, as no one wants to be in a huge crowd with hustle and bustle when you are on a relaxing holiday!

I would love to go on a Caribbean cruise. So many places to go and see but I would love to visit The Galápagos Islands to see large tortoises.

I am going on my 6th cruise ithis year and it’s a great way to see the world. My ideal cruise is somewhere I haven’t been. But if I had to choose, I would love a cruise that sails down the west coast of USA, one that sails from Canada to Mexico stopping at Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles etc. I can find cruises with segments of this but not one that takes in the whole experience!

I would love to take the family on a two week cruise along the Inside Passage, Alaska. I'd like this to be with an expedition ship carrying naturalists on board, to elaborate on the scenery and the sea life, and with opportunities to kayak along the way. My preferred itinerary would be for the trip to begin in Vancouver, through the Johnstone Strait, along the Inside Passage and out west to the Seward and the Kenai Fjords where we would look out over some 40 glaciers stretching out from the Harding icefield. En route we'd be on the lookout for Stellar sea lions, humpbacks and orcas. This trip has been on my wish list for some time....Still saving the pennies!
