We all have a dream destination that we’d love to travel to - somewhere where you’ve always wanted to go, but never got around to visiting. While some would love to go on Safari in South Africa, others would be happier lounging on the white sand beaches of Greece. Whether you’d like to travel near or far, there can be many barriers to travel. Perhaps you simply don’t have the time to travel, or think that the total cost of the trip might break the bank? Or maybe you have fears about not being able to speak the language, or your health not being protected while abroad? With this in mind, Staysure would love to hear from you.

Here’s what Staysure have to say: “At Staysure, we believe that if something’s worth doing, then it’s worth doing right. That’s why our customers voted us the UK’s Best Travel Insurance Provider in the British Travel Awards.

We all want to be able to enjoy our holiday, knowing that we will be covered should something happen. We do not want to have to worry about possible repercussions and for that reason having good quality travel insurance should be a priority.”

If you could book a ticket right now, where in the world would you like to visit? What are the barriers that are stopping you from going (eg health, finances, mobility, fear of flying)? Is travel insurance important to you when booking a trip? Does travel insurance give you the piece of mind that you’ll be protected when abroad, or do you have some reservations about what will be covered.

So whether you want to take the trip of a lifetime or just a short weekend away, share below what it is that’s stopping you and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one lucky GNer will win a £300 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

I'd love to see the Northern Lights but they're so unpredictable. Family commitments are stopping me, but maybe one day.

New Orleans to enjoy the sunshine and jazz. The drawback is the cost of insurance for my husband but, well worth the outlay to ensure any outcome is covered.

I'd love to travel to Costa rica, it's been my dream destination for a long while. It's definitely finances that stop me travelling there, flights are expensive.

As for travel insurance, I would NEVER travel without it and it does give me peace of mind. I look into exactly what's covered even for the worst disaster imaginable.

I've always wanted to see California, las Vegas and San Fransisco, barriers are husband's health, and money.

If I travelled to South Africa to see the Big Five
I’d be the happiest girl alive
To see elephants roaming & hear a lion’s roar
What wildlife lover could ask for more
To be up close & personal with animals in the wild
Has been my dream since I was a small child
To cuddle a big cat cub is my heart's desire
That is the dream to which I aspire
I had to retire at the age of 44
I had no idea what life had in store
With only a small pension & bills galore
My African dream lay on the cutting room floor
At Cango Wildlife Ranch I could achieve my ambition
To cuddle a cheetah cub there is an honoured tradition
The Garden State is my dream location
For the most amazing sunshine filled vacation

My dream place to visit is Bora Bora

aimlou42 Thu 30-Jan-20 13:57:37

I would love to go back to South Africa, I have family over there and travelled there as a child/teen. I would also love to take my family to Orlando, Florida as I absolutely loved it years ago. But if I had to choose somewhere I've never been it would have to be somewhere in the Caribbean such as St Lucia or Turks and Caicos.

Magsd Thu 30-Jan-20 13:57:28

I’ve always yearned to visit Las Vegas but my husband doesn’t seem keen on the idea. We always take out travel insurance when we go abroad

jojo8208 Thu 30-Jan-20 13:54:17

Road trip in America for all their food. What stops me is my younger children & my grandchild whom I mind every week.
I will go one day, it's a dream I've had for many years now & it is achievable. Another place I'd love to go is Bora Bora - I'd go and do just nothing, at all.
I do love culture though, ultimately when it comes to booking a holiday I tend to pick places that have cultural experiences.
