I work as a HCA, and suffer from contact dermatitis from all the cleaning I do for my job, I wear plastic gloves when cleaning and have to use the hand gels when leaving and entering the wards, is a barrier cream worth trying - does it work - can you recommend one ?

Hello Paula, I suffer from keratosis pilaris, it really affects my confidence, I use an expensive moisturising foundation to cover and moistures, is it better to use 2 separate creams, (specific cream and covering foundation) if so what is best to relieve my symptoms , I've had it with differing severity for 17 years not - I'm 58

I'm sure research is ongoing to find a cure for eczema, which affects so many people. Do you think there is any realistic chance that one may be found in the future or are we just going to have to keep on trying to find the one cream that helps our particular case, and avoid triggers if we've identified them?

I have very sore eczema mainly on my hands, I have one spot in particular that never seems to get relief although I use a cream from the doctor and also use Cetraben cream and still this keeps flaring up. I use washing up gloves and am careful with all harsh chemicals so do not know why this is still cracked and sore.

I had a basal cell carcinoma removed from my forehead, and use a concealers and a high spf moisturiser, what is the product you'd recommend for moisturising mature skin and protecting from further sun damage - or is the damage already being done - from being a sun worshipper in the 80's using very little sunscreen.

I suffer from psoriasis, which flares up when I'm stressed, and I know when the rash appears, I'm in for at least 3 weeks of embarrassment, is there any other way (other than sunlight which we don't have at the moment) to speed up the healing process flare up.

What is the best cream for the dry skin on my back

NotSpaghetti Tue 18-Feb-20 13:20:00

Yes Nannan2.
We have.
Psoriasis wise I think Exorex lotion is the best for me (not the cream) but I do use it as a treatment not a moisturiser.
It's on prescription or over the counter.

I wondered about a cream/ lotion for psoriasis? Gps were allowed to prescribe Alveeno for a bit but dont think they can now as its expensive, but a lot of the ones they are allowed to prescribe are thick emollients and too greasy/ heavy for me,or theyre ones you wash off after use and so not always convenient.

Have you tried the Sea&swim from Boots? Its very good& gentle enough to use even for children.
