I would only move if circumstances changed for me. If I needed a smaller house, less garden or nearer my family

We have lived in our house for 40 years and now need to downsize from 4 bedrooms to a 2 bedroom bungalow. We want to stay in the area because I love living near the coast and rivers. Hopefully we will be able to put the house up for sale when things settle down after the pandemic eases.

We have moved to get a bigger house each time, but we are now ready to down size so that we can clear our mortgage and then look to buy a 2nd property to rent out.

For a quieter life, away from noisy young neighbours and also to hopefully make friends and experience a nice community.

We have lived here over 30 years but would like to move now to somewhere quieter with a little bit of nature nearby and with no stairs. Just a scrap of garden and some fields or the like nearby would be great.
We had just had our valued ready to get started on the process when Covid19 popped up!

We moved for a larger garden and to be off a main road.

The move I'd like to make now would be to be close to the sea - but definitely not that packed beach in Bournemouth!

I find moving exhausting, it seems to aggravate all of my symptoms and causes stress beforehand and at the time and a huge slump lasting up to several months a few weeks after. My last move happened because of a criminal landlord and lying agent resulting in my having no heating or hot water for up to 40 days at a time all through last winter, a garden so overgrown I couldn't use it. Having 2 moves in as many years has set my health back to a point I've never recovered from, to the extent that i only went out for medical appointments before lockdown and loosing all of those has meant that everything has got so much worse I can barely walk. If I had full health and a well paid job I would love to move every 2-5 years, employing removals experts to do all the heavy work, so that I could experience different locations and types of houses

i would like to move because my neighbours are really noisy, also the area is not as nice as it used to be

I will be moving to a larger house as my kids need a roomto themselves. Would stay in the same area as i am near my friends and family and it is quiet.

We moved several times until 2002 due to my late husbands nomadic tendencies and at present I've no intention of moving again. I'm lucky to be near my daughter and grandchildren, in a reasonable area with mostly good neighbours

My family was going to move this year but everything changed overnight so everything is on hold. We would like to down size after family gets settled but we got to wait.

We have moved 5 times in as many years. Having sold our house up north to be nearer grandchildren we are renting until we find the place we want to stay.
The actual moving is a pain but it makes you clear some clutter each time and I quite like experiencing different areas.
We tried a flat but didn't like it and now have a lovely little house and garden and money in the bank

After 46 years in an elegant 4-storey Victorian Terrace house, I regretfully had to move to a bungalow. Three flights of stairs and 12 foot high ceilings made everything hard work. My new detached bungalow is horizontal rather than vertical, and there isn't a single step indoors or out. The only item I had to replace were the curtains!

A nice peaceful spot on the country with great walks for the dog.

My hubby and son are interested in motorbikes. If we move to a bigger place it would be to accommodate their hobbies. More importantly it will prevent motorbike parts from spilling into my living space haha

My most recent move was following retirement. I moved 200 miles to live nearer my daughters and grandchildren. it was a big step, but it is so nice to see them regularly and to.be able to help.with childcare!

I live in beautiful Cornwall but have visited The Cotswolds a few times so that would be my choice,but as a second home,if I won the lottery!!!

We are considering returning to a town from a rural village to be closer to amenities and also for a better social life. Would love a little bolt hole in Spain if money allowed (it won't).

I love where I live now so no considering a move; in the past I have moved as I have changed location with my job; last time I moved it was to have somewhere with a garage - really hoping that that was my last move ever

Normally moving for upsizing or downsizing reasons! Including the home itself being suitable for our needs e.g. I have mobility issues so if we move in future that would be a factor too. Or to be closer to family.

I would love to move to Yorkshire when I retire so that I'm nearer to my daughter and granddaughter but my husband likes living in London he would have some persuading.

I am very happy where I live now but would consider a Park Home move they are so well cared for by the Companies.
Quite a few years ago when the ACs where smaller we very nearly signed our lives away on a beautiful house in Acombe just outside Hexham we just got cold feet after being dealt with by a very pushy Sales Negotiator looking back we should have gone ahead but we would never have had the life we had afterwards.

I’d move home to live closer to my grandchildren who mean the world to me. Being close to help would be such a joy. x
