Still getting night sweats after ten years, will I have these for life? Feel tired all the time. Age 64.

I have severe atrophy & bladder issues. I've had to stop HRT & pv tablets due to some discharges and awaiting results from biopsies. Treatment, prior to stopping, had minimal affect. What other treatment options do I have ? I'm really worried that the atrophy is going to be a permanent problem. Thank you

I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago when I was 42. Everything was taken away apart from one ovary. Unfortunately I went straight into the menopause. Recent blood tests showed I was post menopausal. I tried HRT for a couple of days but immediately felt very unwell. I have a serious dryness problem and use a hormone cream three times a week. Intercourse is still very uncomfortable even when using lube. What else can I do, I'm only 52.

I’m really struggling with bouts of insomnia, I’ve tried magnesium which worked for a while and has been a god send with easing other symptoms too, I really don’t want to go down the diazepam route as I know this can’t be used regularly, I’ve tried excessive exercise, chamomile tea, meditation, CBT and nothing works. Are there any other natural remedies out there that really work as I’m at the end of my tether!!

I think I may have started menopause in 2012, with a short spurt of what I now know was depression. In 2015, I started to get insomnia. All normal periods at this time. For the last three years or so, I’ve had intermittent’ sickness’, not unlike morning or travel sickness. It’s been particularly bad since about April this year, alongside the insomnia. All other symptoms are manageable, or mostly not there at all, except I feel hot all the time, and get bouts of panic with it. No periods now for 3 years. I can no longer function with the two main things, sickness, and insomnia. My quality of life is so diminished. Would HRT help any of this? I am intending to see my GP once I get the results from a mammogram I had on Tuesday, my real mum died from breast cancer. I had thought about starting small, so the vaginal pessary. Would be so grateful for any help.

I am 55 and am still having random periods (every 3/4 months) hot flushes and would appreciate advice regarding exercise, diet and alcohol (still appreciate a few glasses!)

I was advised as I was 62 to stop taking HRT (oestrogen only a very low dosage) I take high blood pressure tablet, my GP felt that I was at high risk of a stroke, I’ve been on them since having a full hysterectomy in 2001. It’s been 3 months since I’ve been off HRT and I feel awful! Day and night hot flushes, I’m awake half the night, irritability! I need my life back, would it be advisable to go back on them!

How long do menopause symptoms usually last, I am still being woken by night sweats 15 years on and still get the occasional daytime hot flushes, albeit not quite as severe as when they first started when I was age 51
