Self Motivation to get fitter

Everyone else is too busy doing their thing I promise you!!
Are you able to go to an early morning lane swim? Everyone is there for their own purpose and are watching the clock so really wont be bothered with socialising or looking around.
Do it once.. give yourself that challenge.... and I assure you all will be well!
It is the beginning a hobby..becomes a habit... and then a necessity!!
Clears your mind.. makes you feel amazing!!

Try an Aqua Fitness class. You spend all the time in the water exercising (so if you're feeling a bit self-conscious at first you are well hidden 🤣 ) but it can be fun, especially if you want something more social or you're not fit enough yet to swim lanes. Most pools have them.

Go for it, Overthemoon! If you are a lane-swimmer, then purchase a monthly membership to your local pool, if you are more of a 'dipper', then join a aqua-fit, or even sign up for swim lessons. You might find other classes interesting at the fitness centre.

Even buying the occasional fitness magazine can offer encouragement.

It's worth checking the pool out for times - lane swimming can be very busy as some people like to get their swimming done before work. So there may not be masses of people, just more swimmers than lanes.

Anyone have any ideas? I've bought the swimsuit, just need the confidence to wear it in a pool

The more you do something, the better and confidence you are about it. The more you walk in that pool with your swim suit on, the more you won't care about it. Just go and do it sis.
