Banana and sultana scones recipe from ayjay
Ingredients255g (9oz) self-raising flour
55g (2oz) sunflower margarine
55g (2oz) sugar
85g (3oz) sultanas
1 very ripe banana
Handy HintThese work best when the banana is really, really ripe and taste great warm.
Method1. Rub margarine into flour.
2. Stir in sugar and sultanas.
3. Mash banana and add milk to volume 150ml.
4. Stir into mixture.
5. Knead lightly.
6. Push onto floured work surface - until about 1.25cm (0.5") thick and cut into rounds / stars.
7. Paint lightly with milk.
Cook at 180C for about 10mins until golden and yummy.
