Puff pastry
Fillet of beef
Mushroom pate
Egg (wash)

Handy Hint

Have glass of red wine ready to celebrate your cleverness.

Method

1. Sear meat in frying pan.

2. Roll out puff pastry to a size big enough to encase your fillet of beef.

3. Spread mushroom pate overcentral portion of pastry.

4. Place meat on mushroom pate.

5. Encase meat with pastry.

6. Seal and eggwash pastry.

7. Cook at 180 for approx 45 mins, dependent upon size of meat.
