Ingredients

170g margarine
225g self-raising flour
28g cocoa
170g sugar
1 Egg

Handy Hint

Traditionally served with Pink Custard

Method

1. Melt margarine in saucepan
2. Mix cocoa and flour together then add to margarine
3. Mix in sugar and then the beaten egg
4. Press mixture into greased tin and lightly smooth the top
5. Brush top with water and sprinkle on a little sugar
6. Bake in a slowish oven (150c - 160c) for approx 35mins
7. Cool and mark into squares.
