Ingredients

1 mug of All bran (or equivalent own brand)
1 mug sugar
1 mug dried fruit
1 small mug of milk
1 mug self raising flour
1 egg

Method

1. Soak the bran, sugar, dried fruit and milk together for at least 3 hours ( overnight if possible )
2. Mix in 1 beaten egg and the flour
3. Put the mixture into a 2lb greased loaf tin and bake in oven at 160 C for approx 1 hour.
4. Allow to cool before turning out on to cooling rack.

Serve warm or cold spread with butter

lovely tasty moist loaf for the family. does not last long in cupboard. May require to be hidden by mum
