Ingredients

170g (6oz) self-raising flour
170g (6oz) caster sugar
170g (6oz) soft margarine
85g (3oz) drinking chocolate
3 eggs
3tbsp BOILING water
Good dash of any juice available

Handy Hint

You can adapt this to coffee, plain etc just replace the weight of the DC, and maybe add a little baking powder.

Method

1. Grease and line 7 in tin. Set oven at 190
2. Put all ingredients into large mixing bowl, adding water last. Beat for about 1 minute until creamy.
3. Pour into tin
4. Bake for 40 mins; check with skewer. May need another 5 or so minutes
5. Cool in tin
6. Turn out to finish cooling.

My all purpose over all favourite. You can double up the quantities for huge cakes, but lower the temperature a little and give it longer.
