Ingredients

1 tin condensed milk
Cadbury's drinking chocolate
20 digestive biscuits
115g (4oz) butter
Fine coconut

Handy Hint

1. Palms of the hands get very sticky while rolling, so I scrape mix off hands, wash hands and start again with clean hands. 2. To vary it you can cut marshmallows into quarters and add a quarter to the centre of the ball when rolling between palms.

Method

1. Put condensed milk, butter, and 6 large tablespoons of Cadbury's drinking chocolate into a fairly large pan.
2. Melt over a very gentle heat, stirring occasionally till butter is melted.
3. Give a good stir then take pan off the heat.
4. Crush 20 digestive biscuits finely (I put five at a time in a plastic bag and crush with rolling pin). Put crushed biscuits into a large bowl. To this add 8 large tablespoons of fine coconut. Mix well together, then put biscuit mix into pan and mix all together carefully. (I keep turning the biscuit mix in the condensed milk mix with a spoon until it's all coated and combined).
5. LEAVE TILL COLD
6. SCRUB HANDIES(!)... then take spoonfuls of the mix and roll it between your palms to make a ball, roughly size of a walnut, toss in coconut, put on a plate and into fridge so they harden a wee bit. Then... ENJOY!

My grand-daughters love making these truffles because they get their hands all messy, but it’s worth it, as Mummy & Daddy love eating them too!
