Indian Lentil soup recipe from mazgoli
Ingredients2 cups red lentils
1.4 litres (3 pints) beef stock
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp raw rice
1 onion - finely chopped
1 crushed garlic clove
1/2 tsp. chopped dried chilli peppers
2 tsp mild curry powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
Method1. Put all ingredients except lemon juice in a pan, bring to boil and simmer until lentils are cooked and it becomes puree like.
2. Add lemon juice and salt to taste.
3. Add a piece of butter to each bowl.
