Ingredients

1 cup lentils
3 carrots (grated)
1 small onion (diced)
3/4 cup wholewheat flour (approx)
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp coriander
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp sea salt (approx)
Pinch black pepper

Method

1. Cook the lentils in boiling water for approx 30 mins.
2. While they are cooking, grate the carrots and dice the onion. Put them in a bowl together and add the flour.
3. When the lentils finish cooking, drain excess water and add to the carrot mixture.
4. Mash everything togther and add flour accordingly to get the mixture to stick together.
5. Season with the spices, salt and pepper.
6. Heat a pan on a medium heat and form the lentil mix into burgers. Add some oil to the pan and cook the burgers for about 15 mins, flipping over halfway.
