Ingredients1 packet short crust pastry100g minced beef 1 onion (chopped) 1 potato (diced) 100g swede (diced) 1 tsp chopped herbs 1 tbsp oil ½ beaten egg Salt and pepper |

Method1. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry onion and beef til it changes colour.2. Add in potato, swede, herbs, salt and pepper and ½ cup water. Bring to the boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Leave to cool. 3. Roll out the pastry. Cut into 4 X 12cm diameter rounds. Divide the filling onto the 4 rounds of pastry. Brush the edges with water. Fold over and seal the edges firmly. 4. Place the pasties on a greased baking tin. Put some holes on top of the pasties to allow the steam to escape. Brush the pasties with beaten egg. 4. Bake in the oven 190C/375F/Gas 5 for 20 minutes. |
