Ingredients1 large punnet fresh strawberries100g good dark chocolate half bottle of Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venice or sweet white wine like Sauternes |
Handy HintAlways melt chocolate into a bowl larger than the pan of simmering water it sits on so no water can get into the mixture and it does not get too hot. If it is not melting smoothly, add a knob of butter. |

Method1. Put aside 4 large strawberries, hull and slice the rest and divide between 4 wine glasses.2. Top up with the cold dessert wine, covering the strawberries and chill. 3. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Dip each reserved strawberry in the chocolate holding them by their stalks to cover 2/3 of the fruit. Allow to cool and set on a piece of foil, then place alongside the glasses of strawberries. Serve with 2 thin langue de chat biscuits or light biscuit. |
