Ingredients

Pack of cheap butter
1 turkey covered with streaky bacon
Muslin cloth

Handy Hint

I've used this method for years and never had a rubbery or dry turkey on Christmas Day. Unlike foil, this method allows steam to escape whilst the meat is protected and basted. Result!

Method

1. Melt entire pack of butter
2. Soak muslin cloth in most of the melted butter
3. Apply over turkey
4. Pour any remaining butter over
5. Roast

Hello, I have got muslin left over from jam making in the Autumn so I am going to give it a go.Some of my Japanese family coming over for the festivities and they have never celebrated with roast turkey and trimmings so fingers crossed.
