Ingredients

2 cups of melted butter
680g chocolate chips
4 cups of flour
2 cups of brown sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsps bicarbonate of soda
2 cups sugar
500gms of grated chocolate (Cadbury's is fine)
5 cups of porridge oats
4 eggs
2 tsps baking powder
2 tsps of vanilla essence

Handy Hint

Always allow to cool before removing from the tray.

Method

1. Blend the oatmeal to a fine powder.
2. Cream together the butter and both lots of sugar.
3. Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with the flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder and bicarb.
4. Add choccy chips and grated chocolate.
5. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a greased baking sheet.
6. Bake for 10 minutes at 180C

One of my all time favourite charity bakes. Very easy (and fun!) to do. Cookies not only taste fantastic, the cooking smell is very homely.
