Ingredients

170g soften butter
300g plain flour
220g soft brown sugar
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
200g chocolate chips
100g chopped hazelnuts

Method

1. Cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy.
2. Add in whole egg and egg yolk a little at a time. Mix well
3. Sieve flour, baking soda and salt together. Add to the butter mixture.
4. Mix in chocolate chips and hazelnuts.
5. Divide the mixture into 2 equal parts. Roll each portion into a cylinder shape. Wrap in cling film. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
6. Cut each tube into 15 pieces. Place the cookie pieces on well greased baking trays. Bake in the oven 200C/ gas mark6 for 8-10 minutes.
7. Cool the cookies on a cooling rack. Store in an air tight tin for up to two weeks.
