Ingredients5 ozs. plain flour,5 ozs. self raising flour 5 ozs. trex 2 large bramley cooking apples Sugar to sweeten Icing sugar Dessicated coconut |

Method1. Cook the apples in small amount of water, sweeten to your taste.2. Rub fat into flour, mix to a stiff dough with cold water. 3. Roll out to line a 8 inch shallow pie dish, put in apple, roll out pastry topping, cover pie and cook for approximately 40 minutes at 160C. 4. When cold, cover with a layer of icing and a thick sprinkling of coconut. Serve on its own or with ice cream or cream. |
