Ingredients1 mug prune juice (not syrup)
1 mug dried fruit
1 mug self raising flour
1 mug all bran (that stuff like small twiglets)
pinch baking powder |
Handy Hint
You can add mixed spice if liked. It's good on its own or with cheese. No need for butter, unless you really want to. |
Methodsoak the fruit and all bran in the prune juice for about an hour; mix in the flour and baking powder to a fairly stiff consistency; pop it in a greased, non stick fruit loaf tin and bake for around 25 minutes, 170 deg Celsius/gas mark 5. Less time is needed if using a fan assisted oven.
