Ingredients

1 kg sugar
1 tin sweetened condensed milk
1 cup fresh milk
½ packet butter
Vanilla essence

Method

1. Put sugar, butter & milk in pan. Bring to boil.
2. Add condensed milk & stir gently but continually for 20 – 30 mins.
3. When fudge crystallises on side of the pan, beat until creamy & pour mixture into well greased tin/s.
4. Cut while still soft, using a greased knife.

This is my late dad's recipe, which he used to make from memory. I had to write it down so that I could make it. It's a nice crispy crumbly fudge, not soft and sticky - if made properly and with a lot of patience.
