Not sure where to put this, but I subscribe to Gardeners World magazine, just about to run out and I was surprised at the renewal of nearly £50. I phoned to cancel and low and behold they can do it for £31. Sure this will apply to other subscriptions!

I subscribe to Radio Times so I will remember to threaten to cancel it when it falls due and see if I can get a deal.

I "borrow" magazines from the library by download onto my tablet. You get the latest edition and it's free. Our local library website has all the details.

I think Gardener's World is a monthly magazine.
I've been a subscriber to a weekly gardening magazine here, Rustica. I love it and look forward to reading it each week. Lots of other related subjects as well as plain gardening. Seasonal recipes, DIY, Herbal remedies etc.
They always offer cheap subscription rates eg this year
129.90€ reduced to 69.90€
When we get back to the UK I hope to continue to receive it.

I mostly buy country and home type magazines. I've had good deals for subscriptions and find that when it is about to expire they offer a reduced renewal rate for a limited time. Usually I'm bored with that magazine (they can become very formulaic) so take a break, then you sometimes get a really good offer. Since my last sub expired I've been buying a different magazine every two months to get variety and not spend any more money. I do exchange with a good friend though.
