I often check out a book by reading some of the starred reviews on Amazon.

By chance today I came across a 4 to 5 starred Australian author Liane Moriarty who seems to be very popular. Have any of you read her books ? Her latest book 'Good little lies' looks good.

I wish I had read some of the reviews of 'Gone Girl' before I wasted my time and money on trying to read it. I cannot understand why it has been so popular. I didn't like Wolf Hall either. hmm

NanKate, I haven`t yet tried Liane Moriarty, but I agree with you wholeheartedly regarding Gone Girl, it had so many bad reviews on here, but it still seems to have done well elsewhere. I`ve recently discovered Susan Lewis, only read 2 books so far, but will be looking for more.

I love Liane Moriarty, loved the Husbands Secret and the Hypnotists Love Story. Real page turners. But I loved Gone Girl as well.

I have just finished little lies on audible. It is a cross between a whodunit, comedy and a family saga. I liked particularly the fact that you do not know who has died until the end
