Doing yoga with high blood pressure.

I'm 76 and my high blood pressure is well controlled with medication. I've started doing yoga again, which I love, but I understand that if you have high blood pressure, there are some positions that you shouldn't do, e.g. downward facing dog. So, do I count myself as having high blood pressure, even though the medication controls it?

Speak to the Yoga Instructor, they are. supposed to be qualified. and in the best position to advise you.

It is better to consult your doctor and yoga instructor. Yoga is very versatile, I'm sure there are exercises that are suitable for high blood pressure.

I was advised not to do inverted postures.

Chair yoga ?
A friend has high blood pressure and finds chair yoga suits her better.

My yoga teachers will always ask (beginning of class) if there is anyone with health problems.
She then will do show an adapted pose to those who require it.

Hi fellow members of this section.
It seems Apples fruits are more popular than other fruits in that a particular day is dedicated to it.

Why is this so?

I've not been hearing something like "Banana day" Pawpaw day, or Carica Papaya day", "Pear day", "Orange day" etc.
Why only "Apple Day"all this while? Thanks.
