Loo paper problem

Warning...delicate issue! (Or tissue!)
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that loo paper crumbles easily when used for its primary purpose? I kind of feel that I need to have a bidet again so that the crumbly residue can be eliminated. I've only noticed this since the pandemic.
I'm unable to buy the thick, cushiony type because I have a septic tank which can easily block up. And I'm old enough to remember the horrors of stiff and glassy Izal!

Try the Cheeky Panda bamboo sort. Although not padded it's very smooth and not "bitty".

No I haven’t noticed any difference I just buy whatever’s on offer but it seems to do the job ok

I have a septic tank too - I prefer the thicker ‘quilted’ paper, no problem with the tank - or otherwise!

Buy decent lavatory paper, four-ply if possible, three ply at least.
