Beautiful colours, I'm hoping that the south of Britain will be full of Autumn colour when I'm there in a few weeks. Meanwhile all colour here is bleached away and waiting for fresh growth to come through.
I'm envious of your macro camera. And your posting skills, I shall practise again later.
How beautiful! I've never heard of this before, just had a quick google to find out a bit more about it. I gather it's a shrub sometimes used for hedging. Yours looks so delicate and quite exotic, I wouldn't have thought it came from as far north as you are.
It isn't a British or even a European native, dusty. I think the shrub is native to China. The bush we have was in the garden when we moved here. Some are a lot darker than ours. It is looking particularly good this year
Mine is more like 14cm, jings. Bought it in a charity shop a few years ago and found it at the back of a shelf today when I was looking for a small vase cos the photinia was looking so nice and I thought I'd cut a sprig or two.
