Wish I'd been there- I must say- what a day. But I wouldn't have wanted to drive through Leicester today - yiiikes. Andrea Bocelli did come to sing for the Foxes and Raineri- amazing.

Gutted I'm not at the King Power today to see my team lift the Trophy and be crowned Premier League Champions...(still feels like a dream saying that)... But I will be watching from our home in Essex, no doubt with a tear or two.! Right next door in a new bigger stadium, first called 'Walkers' and now 'King Power'.

....... And here I am expecting a thread about foxes and hens!!!!!! I lived in Leicester for over 20 years actually and never knew they were called The Foxes. Was just Filbert Street then. Do they still play there?

Probably too late - but ... if there is anyone in Leicestershire who can get me a copy of the Mercury - we will be over next week and would just love it- thanks.

DH is thrilled and is keeping today's newspapers as a souvenir. He also wishes he could share the triumph with his Dad who died a year ago.

Absolutely brilliant, and I'm not a football fan ... husband is a staunch supporter of Liverpool but even he has been rooting for Leicester! First time, and probably last time that he's cheered a Chelsea goal.
Well done that team!

Best bit will be to watch Gary present Match of the Day in his underpants, lol!

He used to be so shy as a kid- I often bought fruit and veg from him at his dad's market stall at Leicester Market- and later he lived next door to one of DD2's best friends. One of those men who has become much sexier and better looking with age ... (grrr)
