A few people I know think that this latest ad is very funny. Me? I think it`s verging on disgusting. If a bloke stuck his bum out at me like that, I`d stick a pin in it!

Ana Fri 30-Jan-15 23:08:27

I don't find it at all funny - but certainly not disgusting.

NotTooOld Fri 30-Jan-15 23:14:01

It's been on again this evening. I don't understand it, it's rather horrible. I did like the one with the elephant.

FarNorth Fri 30-Jan-15 23:16:01

Not the least bit funny, interesting, intriguing or anything else that I'd think an advert should be.
It's just confusing.

Lona Sat 31-Jan-15 08:00:27

I just think it's very weird and slightly disturbing.

Pittcity Sat 31-Jan-15 08:12:44

It's wrong that he has a better bum and legs than me grin

hildajenniJ Sat 31-Jan-15 08:14:29

I thought it was weird too, and what is Sharon Osborne doing, tagged on at the end?

Falconbird Sat 31-Jan-15 08:24:12

I think all those ads are weird especially the one with the elephant. I haven't seen the one being discussed but will look out for it. smile

Being 'so money suoermarkte' seems to equate with being a total prat. Nearly all the adverts have projected this.

I'm worried about that little robot that's suspended by a giant magnet above a breakers yard though, he seemed irritating but harmless.

dogsdinner Sat 31-Jan-15 08:55:34

The ad has done what is supposed to do. Make people take notice and remember the name whether we use the product is another story.

mcem Sat 31-Jan-15 09:36:08

Don't think Martin Lewis would have liked this ad but he sold his interest in Moneysupermarket some time ago.
I find this ad very tacky and have switched my search for a new credit card to compare the market whose ad's are a bit twee for my liking but less irritating than this one.
I have found some ad's are a real turn-off and they actually have a negative effect.

Teetime Sat 31-Jan-15 09:40:20

I don't think ads are worth noticing at all really - this one is horrible though.

feetlebaum Sat 31-Jan-15 09:40:33

It's bearable - up to the point where the ghastly Osbourne woman sticks her hooter in...

KatyK Sat 31-Jan-15 11:37:21

It's awful. My DGD thinks it's great. confused Maybe it's a generation thing.

tanith Sat 31-Jan-15 11:47:13

It's weird for sure but it does what its meant to do and get people talking about the 'moneysupermarket ad',

Martin Lewis owned 'Moneysaving Expert' a completely different website.

alex57currie Sat 31-Jan-15 12:03:21

Anya your response made me chuckle. I so agree. First time I saw it I was drinking coffee. I choked on it and spat it out. My sil laughed. I asked him if he thought the add was funny. He said "no, just your reaction" .

vampirequeen Sat 31-Jan-15 15:01:40

I love it until Sharon Osborne appears.

loopylou Sat 31-Jan-15 16:20:42

Seriously disturbing, 'Dave' looks like (how I imagine) a serial killer....hmm
Pretty sure anyone mincing down our village high street dressed like that would finish off some of the more elderly residents!
Much prefer the elephant one smile

Galen Sat 31-Jan-15 16:24:54

You get a free meercat with co,pare the market.

MiniMouse Sat 31-Jan-15 16:49:15

It may lead to discussion, but does it encourage us to use the product? A bit like the double glazing one in which the man SHOUTS the whole way through. Just makes me think they'd be last company I'd use!

loopylou Sat 31-Jan-15 16:51:55

Puts me off MiniMouse, just like probably 99% of all adverts!

numberplease Sat 31-Jan-15 18:31:37

I know Galen, I`ve got 2!

Deedaa Sat 31-Jan-15 21:13:24

I've got 3! But I'm very jealous of GS2 who has got Baby Oleg grin

annsixty Sat 31-Jan-15 22:09:29

Oh I really want Baby Oleg but no car and no insurance needs. How sad am I?

NotTooOld Sat 31-Jan-15 22:11:19

I love Baby Oleg. Pity they've dumped him off with ancient relative in the desert without his babygro. Sob, sob.
