I think I will too Penstemmon - what a good idea. It's a shame he hadn't been in the best of health for the past few years but he's been around for so long I feel quite sad.

The man was sweet and kind and he had a good and happy life.

I'm sure that some of his films will be shown soon, and if not we will hopefully see The Great Escape over Christmas. And Miracle on 34th Street. smile

Such a talented man- and a good Leicester boy too. Such a shame his last few years were of really poor quality after a nasty fall down the stairs- but he had a very good innings. RIP.

The wonderful Richard Attenborough certainly had a life well lived.
He will be missed.

Very sad news that the great Richard Attenborough has died. I know he was 90 years old but with some people you just want them to go on forever and the Attenborough brothers come under this catagory. I have enjoyed many of his films, from John Christie to Squadron Leader Roger Bartlett to the fantastic Kris Kringle. Loved him, God bless. X
