Picture book of the month

You Can't Take an Elephant on the BusThis month we've gone for You Can't Take an Elephant on the Bus by Patricia Cleveland-Peck & David Tazzyman.

This crazy, chaotic, rhyming story features an array of animals riding unsuitable vehicles, with pictures by the bestselling illustrator of the Mr Gum books - in short the recipe for a completely brilliant picture book!

Never put a camel in a sailing boat, or a tiger on a train, and don't even THINK about asking a whale to ride a bike... This riotous picture book is filled with animals causing total disaster as they try to travel in the most unsuitable vehicles. A real romp of a book, with hilarious rhyming text and spectacular illustrations.

Patricia Cleveland-Peck lived in France and Ireland before settling in rural Sussex. She has published fourteen children's books and has also written adult books and plays. She now works as a travel journalist but with a young granddaughter has returned to the world of children's books.
