That was an issue with the Prince of Wales and Camilla Porker-Bowels; the Princess of Wales was dead but the lady's ex-husband was and still is alive. Consequently, they had to have a civil wedding although the act that brought civil weddings into being specifically excluded members of the royal family.

. So long as they feel married, who cares what the law is? It doesn't affect the succession and if we ever get to a point where the succession is affected, the law will be changed or the monarchy will be abolished. So there isn't a problem really.
