Hello fellow grandparents! Just became a first-time grandmother last week, aged 55. I am joining you all to help me live up to this grand honourable role. I already have a question: do you recommend joining Facebook ? Seems ds and ddil communicate via this media. I don't want to miss out but have reservation being part of a so-called friends group. Is it worth it?

Welcome to Gransnet Sheilagh and congratulations on mastering your iPad.smile I am sure you will enjoy GN and maybe become as addicted as some of the rest of us !

Nelliemoser Sun 14-Apr-13 12:06:43

Sheilagh welcome! It can be addictive some of us are more addicted than others. Lots of laughs and support. Sometimes gets heated usually politics and social welfare topics steer clear if you don't enjoy such debates.

Its great fun but don't expect to get all your housework done from now on. grin
