I've been cursing because my oven blew up just as I was going to put the chicken in it. Reading your post has put it all in perspective for me! Do hope you can get through the next 6 weeks - it must be an absolute nightmare. Best wishes to you and DH

Thank you all for your wise and kind words and offers of help. You will probably never know how much Grans reaching out to me has helped. And that's in addition to all the times in the last few weeks GN has made me laugh at a time when not much else has.

Sewsilver does your hospice have a support centre? If so they may be able offer you some of the practical help you need. Sending very best wishes to you and hope that you have a rapid recovery.

Absolutely awful thing to happen to you at this dreadful time. As others have said, I do hope that you are getting help with shopping, housework and also lifts to the hospice.

I am SO sorry to hear about this Sewsilver - as if you didn't have enough on your plate at the moment. Like others, I hadn't realised your DH was so poorly, so you must be under a massive strain - this could easily have contributed to the fall along with that pesky conker. Do take advantage of any and all help and support around - and I hope there is plenty, ASK if necessary and, to state the obvious, take care of yourself. Thinking of youu to you both and a huge, but gentle {hug}
