You should put something on twitter about it. My DC have educated me to know that it's the quickest way to get an answer.

16 years too - but this behaviour sounds disgraceful.

Sounds awful. No I wouldn't stay in for them. Can't they send you a prepaid label?

I've been with them for 16 years and only ever had one issue which was dealt with quickly.

I would certainly not wait in for them! This whole fiasco is down to the criminals who stole your details and Vodafone themselves for being so sloppy about security.

Now there's an idea........grin

janerowena Fri 23-May-14 14:45:34

No!!! Leave it outside in a package with Vodaphone written on it, and go out. Or pretend you are out. Bloody cheek.

Aka Fri 23-May-14 14:43:38

Yes, but the bank sorted it by cancelling the card which had been cloned Jane my point is Vodafone insist they carried out all security checks!

ha ha ha

But why should I have to wait in all day when the --balls-up- mistake is ALL theirs? Why can't they arrange to pick it up within a reasonable time window of 2 hours?

Is that unreasonable?

Good heavens. It sounds as if someone has stolen your id at some point. We have a contract with vodaphone - I wonder if they would have sent us an HTC One if OH hadn't already bought one?

Aka Fri 23-May-14 14:28:11

I have
1) been accosted on my own doorstep and verbally abused by crooks demanding I hand over an unsolicited mobile from Vodafone.
2) had an attempt to take money from my bank account by Vodafone
3) had a non-existent bank account accepted in my name by Vodafone

So you'd be forgiven for thinking they might feel they are in the wrong?

You'd be mistaken.

And now to add insult to injury they expect me to wait in from 8.00am-6.00pm so they can collect (after 3 weeks) the mobile. They have I HAVE to!

Am I being unreasonable to say This Is Not An Option?
