Re. "Paddy"context is everything. Calling someone who themselves uses "Paddy" as a diminutive of Patrick or Patricia is one thing.

Referring to someone as "A Paddy" is a whole different issue. It was once decidedly a term of Denigration.

How can anyone maintain such a head of steam for so long? It must need frequent recharging of the AAA batteries. It is the same on another thread. And keeping it up on two threads simultaneously takes serious dedication.

One of the big problems of deleting a post and the site allowing posts with comments about the deleted post to remain. The site should remove all posts that reiterate what they believe they read (which may not be the same as what was written or intended).
