During the winter months I find that I start winding down for the day much earlier than in the summer.

I sometimes get into my PJs at 5.00 pm and feel so much more relaxed however my DH doesn't go to bed till late so I do feel rather sluttish walking around in my dressing gown when he is fully dressed.

On the rare occasion he is away I get changed as soon as I close the curtains. hmm

Anyone else with bad habits like me ?

grin. It's a Scottish word for nightgown jingl Mine is actually a kaftan whereas, my Granny's was a long lacy Victorian affair and always referred to it as her goonie.

I thought a "goonie" is what Little Rabbit Foo Foo is turned into.

Oh! I have Marks and Sparks wincyette goonies then. Very cosy. smile

I am very fond of my goonies.

Pompa do you realise you have something in common with the clothes designer Vivienne Westwood ? You both go commando. shock

Just woke up without any dreams of commandos wearing bras. However I am not properly awake as I thought that Angus was declaring his love of wearing a silk nightie. Must pay more attention, sorry Agus.

I love my comfy stretchy "yoga pants" and fleece so much that I now have a mental struggle with myself before wearing anything else. The family are appalled -another advantage!

Showered, dressed and ready to out by 8am this morning, must be a first.
Glad I didn't feature in any nightmares.

If I'm in my nightclothes, but not in bed then it's a clear indication that:
a) I'm ill
OR
b) the lodger's away and we have no other guests

I have breakfast and two mugs of coffee to wake myself up, then get dressed. My idea of slobbing is to wear a pair of jeans with a bit of stretch! Although I love leggings, I need something a bit warmer at this time of year so tend to wear them under jeans, after a bath. I don't go into pjs until bed time. It's my father's training. He hated us wearing our nighties for Sunday breakfast but my mother let us, because she wanted to slob too.

A few years ago when staying with a sister she got changed after tea into her pjs and I was so shocked! She had managed to kick off the brainwashing that I had not.

You're not alone!

I have to take the dog out about ten so no pjs for me. I do agree about the feeling of hibernation setting in though.
