I have noticed recently (although it has probably been happening for a while) certain posters who vehemently condemn a post or poster then their so called followers join in the tirade as well.

It seems to me like childhood bullying, sad really in my opinion.

I have noticed a few names missing who used to post quite frequently.

Should have been biscuit Too many [[ ]]s

Elegran Thu 30-Apr-15 09:39:18

Apparently the biscuit means "Well! That takes the biscuit" ie "That is the limit! What more can I say?"

I like it better as a jammie dodger.

soontobe Thu 30-Apr-15 09:05:25

True. Good point.

soontobe A clique of rich and powerful people in real life is almost always a minority because it is exclusive, but a group of rich and powerful people is richer and more powerful than the individuals [who are already rich and powerful] that make it up. It tends to be very successful in getting its own way rather than just silly. Look at George W. Bush's first presidential election – the one he didn't actually win with votes.

I don't know a lot/anything about virtual biscuits.

dragon Heavens, wonder how this one is going to be used! Could be misinterpreted hmm

soontobe Thu 30-Apr-15 08:31:52

In real life I think that cliques are silly. It means that they are the minority. So I always find it odd that there is anyone who wants to join one.

soontobe Thu 30-Apr-15 08:06:24

Yeah! I am in after all! grin

soontobe Thu 30-Apr-15 08:05:04

Well, I am certainly not in! grin

For what it is worth, I dont think that there are any cliques on gransnet.

biscuit Lets see if I can do it!

GrannyTwice Thu 30-Apr-15 07:56:05

ffinnochio Thu 30-Apr-15 07:49:30

soontobe Thu 30-Apr-15 07:23:29

baubles Thu 30-Apr-15 07:16:28

Elegran Wed 29-Apr-15 23:07:23

Yes, fluttERBY123 they could, and it would indeed save friction with those who comment that they are posting on the "Am I being unreasonable" forum and yes, since they ask, they are being unreasonable. However, the choice of where to post is theirs.

Anne58 Wed 29-Apr-15 22:45:47

grin Although not especially fond of jammy dodgers.

Anne58 Wed 29-Apr-15 22:44:44

biscuit ??????

fluttERBY123 Wed 29-Apr-15 22:41:35

There are threads where people are discussing personal problems with others who are experiencing the same thing, and they don't take all that kindly to anyone coming in with quick answers who doesn't know the back story.

From Elegran as above.

Do people not discuss some personal problems by PM on this website? Might be kinder to people who think there is a general discussion going on when there isn't.

Elegran Wed 29-Apr-15 22:16:43

biscuit Got it.

Put a jammy dodger on here (within reach but completely tasteless and with no crunch!)
