AIBU to ask for an edit button

Dear admin PLEASE can we have an edit button every forum I ve ever been on has one even if it's only a five minute one
I do preview (sometimes) but often haven't the time, ipads often correct spellings that aren't needing correcting and then you remember an important point just as you press submit then have to write another post which looks like you're trying to hog the thread

It really shouldn't be beyond the realms to add this feature PLEASE
