The first half dozen are in Chinese or could be Japanese? What has happened?

I m pretty sure it’s Korean not Chinese I just hope these young girls are being exploited in any way I wonder why they would flood a granny site ?

Jalima1108 Sat 12-May-18 12:46:55

Yes, I did mean Singapore and not Sinapore hmm

Jalima1108 Sat 12-May-18 12:45:55

I thought we were all being offered a free trip to Singapore for That Meeting!

It's been fun sad

At least some of your comments on here have cheered me up

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Sat 12-May-18 12:42:28

Thanks everyone - it has been a fun morning confused

They were appearing faster than we could delete them but I think we have got them all now and tech have done something that will hopefully stop any more of the same

JenniferEccles Sat 12-May-18 12:34:09

Maybe it's Kim Jong Un trying to get in touch grin

Anniebach Sat 12-May-18 12:25:53

I was tempted to reply to one in Welsh, ?

Panache Sat 12-May-18 11:36:39

Well perhaps its time one of us volunteered for a "freebie"............and then we`ll have a real clue as to what this "invasion" is all about...........I am ruling myself out BTW!!!!

Call me chicken if you like!!

BlueBelle Sat 12-May-18 11:08:44

I reported them all about 6 am this morning They re just scam I would have though GN had a spam filter but obviously not

Elegran Sat 12-May-18 11:00:14

I don't think this particular batch have anything to do with the make of the device. They are just some keen marketer adding links automatically to every social media forum they can find. GN seems to be on top of them.

JackyB Sat 12-May-18 10:47:09

Mine were in Chinese for ages. (Actually, I suspect it was Korean because I had a Huawei tablet). Then I went to the UK and discovered that those weird signs actually had meanings!

Fortunately they stayed like that when I got back to Germany.

So perhaps you could first check the make of your device? Log off and log on again (if you can remember your password)

Elegran Sat 12-May-18 10:44:41

They don't even need to hack into GN - they just sign up with a random mix of letters as a username (clue there) and start a thread.

Elegran Sat 12-May-18 10:43:14

I copied and pasted the title of one of them into Google Translate (reckoned that was safe) and it turned out to be something on a "Style Forum". The message had a photo of an Asian girl looking fashionable, so that made sense.

Oldwoman70 Sat 12-May-18 10:34:37

As it is now around 6.30 pm in Korea (I looked it up!) presumably they have all gone home for the evening so we won't be getting any more. smile

ninathenana Sat 12-May-18 10:34:37

Well done HQ they're gone,thanks.
Here's hoping they don't manage to return

ninathenana Sat 12-May-18 10:30:42

I've reported them too Bluebelle reported the first lot.
I X'd the advert at the bottom of one and got a Google message in the same language. I then tried it on a members post and had the same message.
We're being overtaken.......HELP !!

Jalima1108 Sat 12-May-18 10:29:03

Are we being invited to the meeting in Sinapore?

MawBroon Sat 12-May-18 10:26:21

Maybe they have been invaded!

Jalima1108 Sat 12-May-18 10:25:06

grin
Who is working the weekend shift?

MawBroon Sat 12-May-18 10:21:22

At the very least grin jalima
However, it must be very annoying for GNHQ as it will be keeping them from their brewbrew and cupcakecupcake

Panache Sat 12-May-18 10:17:47

With names like that, they obviously have no interpreter eh?

If only I could read the messages I might feel less "invaded!!"
