Meghan's father and photographer in photo scam

I think this is completely ironic.

The Royal family had asked the press to respect the Markle family's privacy, but now it appears Mr. Markle has been involved in staging some photographic scoops of his own, despite being described as a 'recluse'

The Mail on Sunday exposed the story yesterday.

Apparently the photographer and Markle set up some exclusive shoots which were then sold to press agencies around the world.

It quickly became apparent though that the pictures were 'too perfect' and obviously staged, but not before the photographer involved had received a considerable amount of money. The paper has said it is not known if Mr. Markle received any payment, but if not, why on earth would he participate in such a thing?

The Royal family must be cringing.

Those who have been critical of my punctuation ok. recovering from a stroke lucky to be alive but even though I would not have passed a English grammar exam I am sure you understood what I was trying to say/write

Yes, Margs, I agree with you. Not much of a father. I don't see how Prince Harry can be blamed for not meeting him; he sounds as though he has deliberately avoided contact. And I am sorry for Meghan.

My adult children have been trying for the past two years to arrange a visit to their father who lives in Spain, one particularly anxious to introduce the new partner, but he is always occupied with friends and current wife's family staying, or is awaiting / recovering from hospital treatment. He does thoughtfully send pictures of his operation scars, to keep in touch.

Can they be more humiliated than all the shameful things Sarah Ferguson has done and still kept her title ? - Bah !!

Barmeyoldbat Wed 16-May-18 15:02:58

I feel sorry for her dad he is clearly out of his comfort zone and just maybe could have done with a bit of help. Also may I ask, has the law about divorce people being married in Church been changed?

Margs Wed 16-May-18 14:38:25

Is Meghan's dad just an unprincipled attention seeker? First he gets involved with papparazzi then it's made out to be a mistake, then he claims to have had a heart attack and then discharges himself from hospital, now he's back in hospital and awaiting some kind of surgery (or is he?) and the whole thing smacks of me, me, me and me all stops in between!

The whole focus has moved right away from Meghan & Harry and onto Daddy Dearest.....well, it'll spice up the inevitable ghost-written biography that Mr Markle will surely have a publishing deal for just in time for Christmas.

I get the impression that this clown is definitely NOT putting his daughter's interests first.

Am I too cynical? You betcha!

Sarah Helen, I wouldn’t bother letting my opinion bother you. No need to get stewed up, it’s just my opinion, and I stand by it. Don’t let it bother you.

Another 'royal' bride as suitable as Fergie? I will wait and see :D

ReadyMeals Wed 16-May-18 13:57:58

At least he didn't complain he had no pot to tinkle in, like a certain Duchess

maddyone Wed 16-May-18 13:56:53

That is, I agree with your post of 12.01 Sunseeker.

gillybob Wed 16-May-18 13:56:34

grin

That makes 13 !

maddyone Wed 16-May-18 13:55:42

I agree with you Sunseeker.

mabon1 Wed 16-May-18 13:52:58

The Royals are accustomed to much worse than this

Nanny27 Wed 16-May-18 13:38:10

Winterwhite so good to see someone use the phrase 'walk up the aisle'. TV seems to be obsessed with her father walking her 'down the aisle'. Since the alter is the top of the church you always walk up to it. The bride walks down the aisle with her new husband.

gillybob Wed 16-May-18 13:37:58

Apology accepted sunseeker but yes rather sad that you have counted my posts. 12 now to save you the trouble.

Lol Sunseeker the case of the disinterested person being very interested in communicating their disinterest

Lol indeed ReadyMeals but who are we LOL at? considering Sunseekers post accusing me of being on numerous other royal threads wasn't even true ! grin

oldmom Wed 16-May-18 13:36:34

From what I've heard, MM cut off her paternal family years ago, possibly due to many years of bad behaviour. Her father's family are white, and older than she; there are overtones of prejudice in the way she was allegedly treated by them as a child.

I don't know why any of them other than her father ever imagined they would be invited to the wedding. MM herself has nothing to do with them. Why on earth would she want Harry to meet them?

You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your relatives. You can, however, cut them off.

sunseeker Wed 16-May-18 13:28:34

Apologies gillybob I got you confused with someone else - however it appears you have posted on this thread 11 times (I know how sad that I have counted!)

W1chhada Wed 16-May-18 13:27:26

The Daily Mail et al have an unspoken agenda to disparage Markle, for reasons of nationality, ethnicity and work ethic.
Any weakness is fair game. As for the Duke of Edinburgh- a bigot of the worst sort, not a quaint lovable character.

suttonJ Wed 16-May-18 13:25:01

Yawn....

lemongrove Wed 16-May-18 13:22:28

Readymeals I implore you, change your mind, have a nice ginger pud with custard or jam roly poly.

Veda Wed 16-May-18 13:21:54

I’ve stopped watching EastEnders. I’m now glued to the new updated Coronation Street in the Mail on Line & everywhere. What a fiasco! The Royal family is taking its dying breaths.

gillybob Wed 16-May-18 13:21:01

Yet, with respect gillybob you appear to be posting a lot on the various threads about the wedding, so how fed up are you?

"A lot of various threads" sunseeker , really?

I think you need to review this comment. I don't recall commenting on the royal wedding on any other threads but this one.

Jalima1108 Wed 16-May-18 13:18:50

Excited? Jalima Really? Sick of bloomin' well hearing about it is more like it !
You can be excited in different ways gillybob
grin

varian Wed 16-May-18 13:13:41

Or even an uninterested person communicating their lack of interest .

ReadyMeals Wed 16-May-18 13:10:58

Lol Sunseeker the case of the disinterested person being very interested in communicating their disinterest. It's a well-known internet syndrome. I bet we've all done it some time or other too :D

sunseeker Wed 16-May-18 13:02:08

Yet, with respect gillybob you appear to be posting a lot on the various threads about the wedding, so how fed up are you?

No, I am not trying to dictate which threads you post on - nothing to do with me, just seems odd that if you are sick of hearing about it you seem to be perpetuating the attention.
